The area is very beautiful and has lots of things to offer the people that live here. Brandon Township Parks & Recreation is a group dedicated to organizing recreational activities for the residents of Brandon Township, Groveland Township, Brandon School District and the Village of Ortonville. These activities include a variety of sports, recreational leagues, special events, family-friendly 
outings and bus excursions, as well as maintaining an active membership role in the Michigan Recreation and Park Association (MRPA). The MRPA allows us to offer free events such as the MRPA Pitch, Hit & Run Competition, and allows us to sell discounted admission tickets to several area theme parks and local attractions. Brandon Township Parks & Recreation would like to extend special thanks to Brandon School District Superintendent Tom Miller for his consistent support of recreational programming in our community. Many of Brandon Township's recreational offerings are possible as a result of ongoing cooperative scheduling efforts between Brandon Township Parks & Recreation and Brandon School District.
The school district spends $7,627 per student and there are about 18 students per teacher.
